MCC autism service dog Zeus has changed Ronan's life
Meet MCC autism service dog Zeus and his best friend Ronan. Zeus graduated as a qualified autism service dog in July 2022, and was attached to Ronan to keep him safe! This has made a life changing difference to Ronan, but also the whole family!
Mom, Marie, tells us about their 1st attachment walk of 2023.
“After being stuck indoors most of Christmas and new year from, coughs, colds, weather and dreaded fireworks. It was so nice to take a leisurely Saturday stroll into town, meeting family for coffee.
If you had of told me almost two years ago that I would have been able to walk my boy into town (about 4km round trip) and back without meltdown, tears, a broken back or a darting child, I would have laughed at your optimism. But look at today.
I have taken all three into town walking today. Ronán attached to Zeus and me holding Zeus's lead, as well as pushing a pram with my 2-year-old in it. We had coffee with family, went for ice cream and did some grocery shopping, with not one bit of stress.
Thank you MCC for the beautiful gift of Zeus.”
What an amazing team!
